Four habits stop working. None of them are about knowing more Biology, which is exactly why they catch people out.

1. You click answers instead of shading circles

No bubbling, no smudges, no losing a mark to a half-filled circle. The clicking is easy. Doing it 180 times without losing your place is the part that needs practice.

2. Rough work moves off the paper

You cannot write next to the question any more. Every calculation happens on rough sheets beside the screen, and your eyes travel between screen and paper each time. That costs seconds you never used to spend, and Physics feels it most.

3. Pages become a question palette

Skipping a question and coming back is a click instead of a page flick. Fast once you know the palette. Slow if the first time you meet it is in the exam hall.

4. The clock moves onto the screen

A countdown runs in the corner where you cannot miss it. Some students speed up when they can see time draining and start making unforced errors. Practising against the same timer is how you find out which kind you are before it costs real marks.

The latest published pattern

The 2026 NTA bulletinspecifies 180 questions for 720 marks: +4 for a correct answer, −1 for a wrong answer and 0 for an unanswered question. Treat these as the latest published baseline and recheck the 2027 pattern and syllabus when its bulletin appears.
