Delete your account
Two ways to do it, and a plain list of what disappears.

From inside the app
Open BrainIt, signed in to the account you want to delete. Go to Profile, then Delete account. It asks you to confirm once, and then it is done. It needs an internet connection. You do not need to email anyone.
The app then clears everything it kept on your phone and goes back to the sign-in screen.
Without the app
Email hello@brainit.pro from any address, with the WhatsApp number or the email you sign in with.
We action it within 7 days and confirm when it is done.
If you never signed in, what you entered stays on your phone, and deleting the app removes it. If you asked for a code but never entered it, we still hold your number: email us with it and we will erase it.
What gets deleted
- Your account, your name and your WhatsApp number.
- If you signed in with Google or Apple, what they shared with us: the email, the account ID and, from Google, the name and photo on the account.
- Every question you have answered, and every answer you gave.
- Your accuracy, your streaks and your chapter progress.
- Your settings, including how many questions a day you had chosen.
It goes from our live systems immediately and from backups within 30 days.
WhatsApp messages between you and our number, and the record of what we sent it, are kept by your number, not with your account, so deleting the account does not remove them. Ask us in the same email, or message our WhatsApp number, and we delete them too.
What we keep, and why
Nothing that identifies you, apart from any WhatsApp messages you have not asked us to delete. We keep counts that have no account attached to them, such as how many people answered a given question correctly, because that is what tells us a question is broken. Those numbers cannot be traced back to you once your account is gone.
Deleting is permanent. There is no undo and no 30-day grace period where we quietly hold it. If you want your practice history back later, you would be starting from zero.
Deleting your child's account
If you are a parent or guardian, email hello@brainit.pro and say so. We will delete it on the same terms.
